Courses for Which Tutoring is Anticipated.....

 

Summer 2008

Summer offerings are limited due to available tutors and significantly reduced demand. The listing below is typical of regular academic year offerings. Please contact us directly to inquire about specific course availability during the Summer Sessions. If you are a registered participant in a special program some funding may be available from your program for tutoring support in addition to what is listed below. Currently recognized special programs are Athletics, Disability Services, and Student Support Services.

 

Accounting / ACC 1100 & 2110 / in UTS Lab & Accounting Help Lab in Raley
Anthropology / most ANT 1200 levels in UTS Lab
Archeology / ANT 1220
Astronomy / AST 1001, 1002, and GSA 1010
Biology / GSB 1040, BIO 1101, 1102, 1110, 2000, 2001 via Supplemental Instruction or UTS Lab if SI is not offered in your section (look for SI Sections)

Chemistry / GSC 1020, CHE 1101, 1102, 2101, 2201, 2202 via either Supplemental Instruction or UTS Lab if SI is not offered for your section. Keep in mind that qualified Organic tutors are minimal so tutoring for this subject is dependent upon our ability to find willing and competent tutors! (look for SI Sections)

Latin / by request (tutors must be located and approved by the instructor)
Math / 0010, 1010, 1020, 1025, 1030 (Help Lab in Walker Only Resource for 1030), 1110, 1120 and some higher levels may be addressed in the Math Help Lab by Faculty Members. All Maths listed with the exception of MAT 1030 are addressed in both the UTS Lab and the Departmental Math Lab. Help for 1030 is offered only via the Departmental Help Lab
Music / there is a Music Help Lab for MUS 2611 via the department, check w/ faculty re: other departmental support
Philosophy & Religion / PR 1000, 1020, 1040, 1100 (PR 1100 tutors are usually limited)
Physics / GSP 1010, PHY 1101, 1102, 1103, 1104, 1150, 1151 via UTS Lab and/or Physics Departmental Help Lab

Psychology / PSY 1200 (2401 and some other 2000 levels may be available)
